Day 2

randy | March 14, 2020, 6:10 p.m.

Saturday: went to bed late and still woke up to a new reality. More announcements to what is closed. The Gov't is closing off traffic to the UK. That exception lasted a minute, but I expected that. I decided to avoid WW3 and just walk the dogs myself. If you have a teenager, you know what I mean. Since this is my first blog, I spent some time yesterday researching how to build one; where to build one; how much it costs to have one...when someone suggested I build my own on my own site. Hmm, why didn't I think of that.

djangocentral.com has a great tutorial and it took me about an hour to add the pieces and parts. I did run into one issue since I am not using the latest version of dJango but, gosh darn it, I am smart enough to figure it out. Obviously, since you are reading this :)

The wife and older child came back today from a week-long college visitation trip. They rented a van and went w/ 2 other moms and 4 juniors to something like 7 colleges on the eastern seaboard. I can't wait to hear all the stories. I have to admit I was a bit intrepid about them returning. After all, they have been galavanting all over; no idea what crude or virus or THE virus they might have with them. Look at me, a germaphobe. To be honest, my Asthma does cause some concern but...all I can do is try to be as healthy as I can, minimize my exposure and the rest is up to God. I see it is Pi day so I will order a couple of pizzas and watch some episodes of BBC's Sherlock Holmes.
