Friday
We have survived a full week in social-distancing. The warm weather is helping, but now I have to worry about Pollen and my asthma. last night, I coughed and had a hard time breathing-Hello Pollen, but for a minute or two, I was having a mini-panic attack. California announced total lockdown last night. On one hand, it is just one state but on the other, that is 40 Million people in the 5th largest economy in the World. The Census arrived last night-I wonder why it is easy and ok to respond to the census online but we can't vote online... Tax filing has been delayed 3 months to July 15th. Good because I had forgotten that I needed to do that. I may still try to get it completed in the next few weeks just so I don't have that hanging over my head. But then again, procrastinating on doing my taxes is par for the course. Ran out to Home Depot this evening. We wanted to get some things for the yard since the weather is warming and we will definitely be home to use it. More people than I expected were there trying to get checked out before the new 6PM closing. I found myself steering clear of others as they approached me in the aisles. We all seemed to be trying our hardest to keep out of each others way. I saw one or two customers with masks. No one had on gloves or seemed super anxious. Either they are brave, ignorant, or defiant-hard to say. All I know is I hit the hand sanitizer hard when I got home.I am a full-time Dad, part-time Girls Lacrosse coach, and volunteer Disaster Responder.
